Mumford and Sons are already a pretty big deal in the UK. The rest of us will have a chance to find out why on Feb.16. Inspired by their shared love of rootsy music, this London-based quartet formed in 2007 during impromptu jam sessions backing up Marcus Mumford’s solo act in small folk clubs around London. It wasn’t long after that singer/guitarist/drummer Marcus Mumford, vocalist/bassist Ted Dwane, vocalist/keyboardist Ben Lovett and vocalist/banjo/dobro player Winston Marshall quit their other projects to start playing full time as Mumford and Sons.

Mumford and Sons first full-length album Sigh No More, produced by Markus Drays (the Arcade Fire/Maccabees), is due in stores on Feb. 16th
